Description

This listing consists of three pieces, two bowls and one plate. The product image shown, is a representation of what you will receive, but there will be variation in the patterning and brush marks due to the handmade uniqueness of each piece.

This Cruet set is Ideal for salt and pepper, oil and balsamic vinegar, or whatever you fancy! I use mine for rock salt and ground black pepper, it lives on my table and my dinner guests love to use it.

All pieces are handmade using a red stoneware clay. I decorate the surface with coloured decorating slips. These are made from clay materials,metal oxides and water to a fluid consistency. I paint on the coloured slip in such a way, that a textured surface is achieved. A clear glaze is applied making the pieces suitable for food. The outside is left unglazed, showing the natural beauty of the red clay. I burnish the outer surface so that it is smooth to the touch.

The product for sale is very similar to the one photographed, as the pieces are all handmade, brushstrokes in the application of the colour will alter from piece to piece.
